Is this like some ex-Catholic atheists I’ve met who try to find a way to get the Catholic Church to excommunicate them?
Because it seems like it would be just as big a waste of time even if you could do it, which you can’t.
You can get your baptism annulled though. Not the same thing as getting excommunicated, but it’s the same intention.
I don’t doubt it, but it still seems like a waste of time if you don’t believe in its legitimacy in the first place.
I guess some people need catharsis.
