I’m like mixed on this whole shuck Biden thing. I don’t care for Biden, tho I think his administration has had some victories the DNC has been dogshit at bragging about, but if his mental faculties have been this poor and they’re still getting shit done, then it doesn’t really matter who’s president as long as they beat Trump.

That said, the media has been all too giddy about the idea of dumping Biden, and part of me wonders if that’s self motivated as they noticed that fear of the onset of fascism drove up the numbers of people watching and reading the news during the Trump Admin, thus allowing them to sell more ads. They’re too horny for it. I dun like it.

Edit: they’re like too excited to post about Biden being old vs Trump being a lying fascist piece of shit who is not qualified to be president. At least there’s far more articles about the former. I get it when people focus on that, because I trust people to take the latter as a given and be worried about the former because of it. But these aren’t people, they’re profit seeking bastards

I think thats a healthy dose of skeptisism and is warranted, at the same time, its important to look at the names and map them into the DNC party power structure. Its not Bernie Sanders or Warren or AOC making these calls. Its the Schiffs, the Pelosis, heck, I’m still trying to find a better source that meets the subs requirements, but there is a Jen Psaki story evolving where she is basically saying Biden should step down. Jen Psaki. Former Whitehouse Press Secretary for Joe Biden Jen Psaki.

My point is that the Schiffs and Pelosis and Psakis are the real power brokers here. The call is coming from “inside the house”. Its not even about the holding the Whitehouse at this point, its about not losing every single Senate and House seat on down the line. If this were party outsiders making these points and arguments, thats an entirely different conversation. When its Adam “I took 5 million dollars in Democratic donations and gave them to a Republican so I wouldn’t have to face a progressive” Schiff making the call for Biden to step down… well thats a horse of a different color.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Four House Democrats said during a leadership call Sunday that President Biden should drop his reelection bid, three people on the call told The Washington Post’s Capitol Hill team.

Those who forcefully made the case for the president to drop his reelection bid were: Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), Joseph Morelle (D-N.Y.), Mark Takano (D-Calif.) and Adam Smith (D-Wash.), according to the three on the call who were granted anonymity to discuss a private meeting.

The leadership call, usually held on Wednesdays when the chamber is in session, was moved up to Sunday afternoon by Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) amid members’ restlessness over Biden’s reelection prospects.

As the meeting was going on, Biden campaigned in Pennsylvania on Sunday.

He and his staff remain defiant against calls to drop his bid after a damaging debate performance.
