Italy wants to build a “long-term partnership” with China, the latest effort in a charm offensive that Rome is conducting after exiting Xi Jinping’s flagship Belt and Road Initiative.
“Made in Italy” is sometimes just “Made in China”. Chinese factory staffed by Chinese labor in a Chinese “factory town”, that happens to be in Italy. You are not getting the hand made, expertly constructed, master craftmanship you are paying for.
