  • Mud rain. Like all the other times dirt and water joined in the clouds and made mud rain. It’s such a natural occurrence that this mud flood thing is quite logical. There are whole mountains of dirt up in the clouds, way more than on the ground, which is why the sky looks so dirty. Gotta watch out for those mud rains. Remember all the other things that we lost to mud rain? Like an empire that was so advanced it couldn’t deal with mud. Tragic.

  • This person uses so many different words to describe whatever we are looking at. Goal, altar, dimensional portal - they rarely use the same word twice.

That aspect ratio equalling some random year is a fun crazy. I wonder if they extrapolated the year as the dating of an alien calendar, ancient calendar, or a future date on the Christian calendar? Maybe it’s a Muslim calendar date? It’s such a random application of very bad math that it’s kind of endearing.

  • Orangutan “getting on boats” to leave Borneo is a hilarious image. Like Douglas Adams without the literacy.

This individual would make a good scientist. They are curious, require evidence to challenge claims, will investigate the evidence, and struggles to make sense of it. If they were taught how to perform their investigation, what being thorough means, and how to test their wild guesses.

This poor person could have made breakthroughs in anthropology or archeology in another life.

  • I hate the accuracy of your analysis because you are 100% right that so much of that era was forgotten (except by those who lived it and still hold onto those details). Enron had absolutely turned Texas into scrutiny central and someone in Bush’s administration didn’t like their friends going to jail for being corrupt. The Bush family had also used their connections to Saud to enrich them and their friends during the 90s without knowing that they were being used. 9/11 is the day Bush realizes it and was completely unable to do anything about it because of hat direct family connection. So instead America invaded Afghanistan and Iraq as a distraction.

The entire foreign policy of right wingers is cleaning up the personal history of the grifters who run the party.

  • That the obvious part. At this point Netflix is looking at drastic transmission costs in the coming decade. Video is obviously taxing and require huge amounts of data but Atmos is no slouch either. The gamble, is in how customers receive the news and how it impacts playback.

Audio sync issues, subtitle playback, artifacting on anything over 1080p will all cause customers dissatisfaction. Using a new way to save data is a great idea, almost literally a no brainer, but does a technical solution always work out of the gate?
