I thought states could choose to ally themselves in any way they wanted and this shouldn’t be construed as provocative?

Are you not ashamed of supporting him?
That’s an unfortunate fact. But why does that trump (pun intended) everything else?
Like what? His genocide?
This “it works until it doesn’t” buzz phrase is getting shoehorned in everywhere now. It’s an empty tautology most of the time.
A war on something usually refers to a concept it an ideology in order to eradicate it. Russia is not at war against Ukraine’s existence, it’s a war of self defence to neuter the endless US/NATO provocations.
“…its war on Ukraine.”
Brand new bullshit. Never heard this framing before.
Just get a monarchy.
So much chatter lately along these lines. Seems like the west is about to do the Toy Story meme and drop the puppet.
“…give the people you’ve been ethnically cleansing their land and allow them their rightful self determination and stop pretending you have any legitimate claim over them as a fascist puppet state…”.
What exactly is prompting the emigration though?

Uncertainty over China’s economic trajectory and geopolitical tensions are top of mind for many Chinese millionaires
No. People should fight for what they believe in, not got someone else’s beliefs. If you can’t convince them then that’s your problem.
This is the international one that the US refuses to allow China to participate in?
Pragmatism here mainly meaning not wanting to be murdered by an occupying white supremacist state.
We were already fucked.
Seriously though, I don’t follow American electoral politics much, but why didn’t they swap him out for someone else? It’s a country of ~330m people. Like even the likes of Blinken would have been acceptable to them surely? What’s the actual reasoning?
No, not at all.
“Both sides are the same.”
The difference is that one is happening as a response to the other.
What is this? Spam?
