I lived in MAGA country in 2016 and when they found out I was a Bernie supporter they told me they liked him, both for his hatred of billionaires and for his steadfast adherence to his principles even if they didn’t agree with him.

They said you’d call me some kind of centrist or appeaser or something. We may have our differences but you’d never insult me like that.

Except that money is put back into circulation through government spending, especially when they’re running the kind of deficits we see in the US.

I’ve had this idea for clown gear as protest attire for a while. First, you can put some body armor on under the oversized clown suit, and some protective headgear under the wig. Second, the face paint will help fool both biological and technological facial recognition. Finally, and most importantly, the cops will look like absolute fools beating and teargassing a bunch of clowns.

As someone who lived through the 90s it’s pretty great that politicians are being accused of not being gay now. It shows how far acceptance has come.

Anyone who uses the term “Democrat Party” is someone whose opinion I ignore. Using “Democrat” as an adjective is not just grammatically incorrect, it’s also a pejorative that’s been used by conservatives for decades.

Does this make sense to anyone else? I can’t logically connect the existence of Israel to the safety of Jews everywhere. Does he think if Israel existed in the 1930s the Holocaust wouldn’t have happened? Why?

I like how my state does it. The grid is managed by a public utility, but we can shop around for providers. The utility handles the billing, and switching providers is super easy. I’m paying 9.5¢/kWh for 100% renewable energy, which is about 10% cheaper than the base rate I’d pay if I just used the utility.
