I just remember the rat part freaking me out.

He was voted most likely to be hanged or assassinated by his own party his senior year. What a shoe in!
I remember seeing “V” as a kid. Back then I thought it was really scary. Little did I know modern politics would be so much worse.
It’s grinding either way, but the real life stats can affect much more.
Frankenfeinstein
Forcing them to put it in the trash is good though… Another thing to report on so perhaps it shifts house seats a bit.
The dude is complete garbage. Just listen to him describe what he did during the trump years. His interaction with Acosta was fun.
It really doesn’t affect his status whether he’s the core architect of it, or has nothing at all to do with it. The world will be a better place when he passes either way.
I’m with you on this 4th being a sad one, that’s for sure. It was easy to lightly appreciate what the battles of long ago had wrought us. We had stability and a positive outlook.
Now we have one side that is foaming at the mouth to get power back so they can abuse it and the other that will do what they always do: come up with 100 different ideas and end up doing nothing.
This election doesn’t decide anything. It’s just a marker of when everything will go to complete shit… Now? Or later? Eventually the right will be in power and they will play the same script they always play. “This group is terrorists, so the white house must do this horrible thing.” They’ll manufacturer some garbage their base will gobble up (laden in fear mongering and hatred as usual), and the atrocities will commence.
Enjoy this 4th, it may be the last “normal” one. Just beware of the super patriot dressed in the flag. He’s far more likely to murder his fellow countryman for not having identical beliefs.
I mean, Boeing hasn’t killed them in a fireball of death, hurtling at 18 thousand kph to the earth. The media has this totally wrong, for now. Everything is totally fine, at this time.
Yea, good luck with that
Man I thought that was Al Franken in that picture for a second and I got super excited when it looked like he might be back. /sigh
I was one of them
You and me both, man. He was my guy.
Yes, she’s probably the only one with enough name recognition and veracity to take on the orange moron in my opinion. Problem is corporate Democrats wouldn’t back her because she’s too progressive and that goes against their corporate masters.
While I agree, it’s way too late in the game to change up now. There’s no strong candidate waiting in the wings. It’s not about willing, it’s about alternatives.
I’m not in a panic. I knew this. Should he have run again? Hell no. I wish he would have had the courage to call it a day.
That being said, I’m fully willing to endure 4 years of Weekend at Bernie’s if it means I won’t have to go through the embarrassment of having the orange moron at the helm.
Yet another reason to move to Canada, would you look at that.
Of course the corporate democratic side of the house wouldn’t want Bernie. He was a threat to the status quo and they couldn’t have that. Shifting money back to the middle class from the ultra rich? But it’s the ultra rich that keep bank rolling them. How could they possibly go against that? Instead they discredited an honest, good guy who actually espouses the values out of their good book.
I just wish they could get on message and get in lock step about a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. It’s the only reason the right is successful at this point. Yep, their policies are garbage, but look at them rally around their trash fire and start dancing to the drums.
