How is that bad?
Is there a ZigBee alternative? Is there a “dumb” thermostat that doesn’t connect to anything and can just be programmed on the device itself but has schedules and hot/cold setting
Bad memory management can actually slow down applications
Who said anything about “bad” memory management?
and then realize that LLMs can’t actually reliably replace any of the workers they fired.
Depends on the job. Reliability is not really important to these companies. They can be imperfect and cost them money, but nowhere near as much as a human will cost them, and they’ll probably do the job better than the majority of them.
My guy that’s a temp sensor…
Okay well try convincing a consumer that they just need to try it for a few months before they’ll like it.
Link me to $1 thermostat please
I mean what differences does it make if it’s needed or not if it’s not in use?
I’m shocked.
Well one of them is the boss. The owner actually.
Yep, me too. But like I said, they are very popular and lots of people do like them.
I work with some of them. They even did a literal cheerleading dance at one point for the company 🤮 When they speak I usually tune out completely because they have nothing of value to say.
At this point I assume everyone who has my info has leaked it, probably even multiple times.
remember how over the past few years almost everything brand new had the word “blockchain” shoehorned into it
I don’t think “Blockchain” ever reached anywhere near this level of shoehornery.
Some people sound fake also. They’re very popular.
I think lightness is a thing people care about.
It is. Specifically it is something people do not want.
I have had a LG V30, Pixel 4a and 5, all of which are incredibly light. When I hand it to an iPhone user they tell me it “feels cheap”. You can see this sentiment reflected in phone reviews also.
I speak as someone who has used a computer before and paid attention to dynamic memory allocation.
for whom?
For everyone?
I’d keep affinity photo or photoshop, maya, max, blender and godot/unity open at the same time.
And any modern OS will allocate the necessary amount of memory to each task.
…the same way anything else does?
Sounds like a super long way of describing a “distraction”.
