Same, but on a Pixel 8. Swiping kinda sucks, but it’s better than FOSS alternatives, and the suggestions are pretty good.
Mama told me not to come.
She said, that ain’t the way to have fun.

I doubt it. All of the AI stuff is local, and I don’t think there’s any network interaction other than checking for updates (you could check that, or block it with something like RethinkDNS or NetGuard), so there wouldn’t be any way for them to get your data. The other app of theirs I use, Grayjay, doesn’t even sync between instances of their app across devices, so I think it’s fair to say they explicitly avoid touching the network whatsoever.
Yup, I install through Heroic but launch through Steam on my Steam Deck, for controller support alone, it’s not worth going through Heroic directly. On desktop, I’ll play directly through Heroic though.
Exactly. I use and enjoy FUTO Keyboard and Grayjay, but I’m under no illusion about them being open source, they’re source available. I think they’re great products and great alternatives to proprietary software, but until it’s released under a proper FOSS license, I will be keeping my eye out for credible alternatives.
Since 2012:
That’s just what I remember off the top of my head. I’m sure there’s more that I just don’t care about.
IDK, Spotify is somewhat comparable… they both distribute digital media.
I claim the free games and occasionally play a few through Heroic, but I have never and probably will never spend a dime there because everything there is a net negative:
Pretty much the only reasons imo to use it are Fortnite and free games, and I don’t need an account to claim and play free games. So since I don’t play Fortnite and have forbidden my kids to play it, EGS has nothing to offer for me.
Honestly, I’d be home with that if they had Linux support. They don’t, so I mostly buy from Steam. Apparently Heroic now gets a kickback (probably small) from GOG for sales, but that’s a pretty lazy “Linux support” if you ask me.
I literally didn’t make a Steam account until they had a Linux client, and now I’ve spend a ton of money there. It’s not hard to get my money, you just need to not be outright hostile to me. That’s why I have never and probably will never buy from Epic.
Moles are active at twilight. Maybe they should swap, lizard people in the afternoon and mole people in the morning. Better yet, push the mole bbq to like 9:30pm.
That’s not a bias, that’s just stupid.
I honestly can’t stand driving SUVs… Give me a small hatchback over an SUV any day.
Oh, and I’m tall.
That makes sense, but there should always be a way to get information from a government, even if it’s expensive. Governments work for the people, so everything should have a process.
I’m sure someone would be willing to pay hundreds of thousands to get the footage in the OP, and saying “no, is it’s too hard” isn’t acceptable.
Right, hence the payment. With the payment, the city could hire someone to free up time for someone to handle and redact the documents. Or pay someone overtime. Or however else the city thinks is reasonable. So instead of saying “no”, offer a labor price.
I’m not talking about the city budget, I’m saying the person requesting documents could pay for the labor needed to get the documents.
And the harder the sell, the worse the product.
Right, so what about the second option, paying for someone to handle the data?
Can the requestor offer to either do it themselves or pay to have someone do it?
The side that’s… Right behind you! Watch out!!
Yup, but the most effective way to explain it is that it’s just like cash. Criminals use cash, and criminals use Monero, and largely for the same reasons. For non-criminals like myself, the benefits are:
Or in other words, it works like cash, just digital. Like cash:
Monero is our best option for a digital, non-government issued currency. It’s as close as we’ll get to digital cash.
Oh yeah, and I didn’t mention Steam Family sharing or whatever it’s called now. And Steam Link.
