Hold up… they want me to pay a minimum of $10 per plastic 5 gallon pot… to plant some seed?

I got laundry baskets at the Dollar Tree for $1.25 each. Line them with the plastic I used to line my car at the Gardening store. There was no way around buying soil. Everything’s contaminated out there or I would “steal” it. It’s everywhere for free, but covered in herbicide/insecticide. What a shame.

However, I did “steal” sand from the local park. It helps aerate the soil, and it stretches your soil budget.
