I mean, possibly you’d have to be living under a rock to not have seen all the images of Trump and Epstein together.

On its own its a dumb idea, but I do think another commenter had it on the money how this is more a ploy to catch trump with his pants down. Trump can either agree and piss off his pro gun base (and look like a coward given his previous statements), he can argue against it and seem like hes inviting more violence and alienate anyone in his base who thinks gun violence is bad. Or he can ignore it and look like hes a doddering old fool oblivious to whats happening around him.
Shows you how the independents and left aren’t strictly anitgun. Was such a huge blunder on his part and the person asking him gave him repeated chances to walk it back and clarify it to not mean what he said, and he still insisted on total ban.
The ones that are antiabortion or evangelicals who don’t own guns. GOP has the most gun owners but its not even like half their voters. Vocal minorities is all it is.
The only issue the GOP is actually united on right now is how they don’t like democrats.
Problem with American politics is there tens of millions of people on both sides of the party split who abhor the candidate they’ve voted for but that’s the candidate that won the primaries. So their options are vote their party, or waste their vote not voting, voting third party or voting the opposition party.
My money is the kid saw the 2025 agenda and despite being a conservative leaning person was still appalled at the idea people would vote for a fascist again.
Friendly reminder that nearly every recorded and investigated case of voter fraud in the US for the last 20+ years has been committed by Republicans.
This, Biden isn’t going to drop out and most of the people calling for him to resign benefit either directly from him no longer being on the ballot, or indirectly benefit in the chaos and doubt of opportunist in the democratic party jumping on what they perceive as an opportunity to enhance their standing and power within the party and political establishment as a whole.
If one singular data point (a bad debate performance) is enough to make you or anyone else think a person should immediately step aside, you’re exactly the kind of person these attacks and campaigns are directed at: someone easy to sway and scatter. I don’t particularly like Biden or most of what he’s done in the last 2 years specifically, but I also know that splitting off from him or encouraging a third candidate that will split the vote is just going to hand GOP the reigns for the next 4 years and given how they’ve spent the last 8 stomping on rights and democracy, it’ll probably be another 20 years before they lose power short of another revolution or civil war. So weighing those two scenarios, yeah I’m just going to vote Biden, sleepy or dark brandon, doesn’t matter since he can always resign after the election and let Kamala take up POTUS.
Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! — HELP! HELP! I’m being repressed!
I mean, if I went around saying I was an emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they’d put me away!
Supreme court literally just said he could by saying Jan 6 was fine for President to incite
Not to defend him (can’t really stand his videos at all) but he’s not a journalist. He’s just a freelance spokesman for products that will sponsor him.

I’m not against renewables but utilizing them as our main source of energy just is not practical for long term, there are serious ecological issues that have been sidelined because of global warming/climate change. Things like rooftop solar only become viable in low density housing, but low density housing is also not good use of land.
Land usage is what makes nuclear the most ecologically sound solution. Solar and wind play their part. But for every acre of land, nuclear tops the chart of power produced per year. And when you’re trying to sate the demand of high density housing and businesses in cities, energy density becomes important. Low carbon footprint is great for solar and wind but if you’re also displacing ecosytems that would otherwise be sucking up carbon, its not as environmentally friendly as we’d like.
