He wanted to go Texas for the taxes for quite some time now. All he needed was a lame excuse to blame his own cheap decision on someone else.

Wow. Even for the GOP, which has no problems with con men, thieves, rapists, and child molesters in their ranks, a convicted murderer is quite an achievement.
Lets hope this will lead to a real judge to preside over the case, and not just a Trump Minion.
I wonder if the RNC will rename the GOP to TNFP (Trump NeoFashist Party) next.
Why should Trump care? He got all the media attention he needed.
Yep. Common sense would tell one that this is a stupid idea from the word go, but sadly common sense is way less common than the name implies.
I believe in “privacy preserving legislation” when I actually see it work. Legislation is Theory-Space, and quite often has no connection to online reality, as the net is international, but laws are not.
I, too, would like to ban ads, but banning them by law will not work unless it is an international law without any holes. Sadly, forcing advertisers into a less invasive mode and make them just rely on the firefox-defined technology is just as illusionary.
Digital advertising is not going away, but the surveillance parts could actually go away if we get it right. A truly private attribution mechanism would make it viable for businesses to stop tracking people, and enable browsers and regulators to clamp down much more aggressively on those that continue to do so.
Dear CTO,
What makes you think that advertisers would drop any existing privacy intrusion software just because you just gave them another, less useful data set on top of what they already collect? For them, more data means better targetting which in turn means more profit. Do you expect those people to suddenly stop profiling everyone and make less profit out of the goodness of their heart? Well, then you are probably heading for a big surprise.
I only clicked once, and got the same. This “thegrio” probably cannot cope with getting more requests than just the three people in their village or something. Maybe it is their “monthly bandwidth exceeded” message, and they try to hide the shortcomings of their “el cheapo” online plan as an anti-cyberattack page.
First: As conservatives love bible quotes: Hosea 8,7: “They sow the wind and reap the whirlwind.” Boy, did Trump sow wind everywhere. And Thomas Crooks simply was the whirlwind this time.
Second: Each and every year, about 50,000 people in the US die from guns, and politics f-ing does not care. Because they love the money from arms manufaturers and votes from the gun nuts more than the mostly innocent people who die. But once the wrong asshole gets his ear nicked by a bullet, they suddenly fall over themselves condemning violence.
That’s because the kid is registered with the Standesamt anyway. Those sovcits don’t want their kids to be registered with any government agency as they are afraid this would mean something nasty for them. So pregnant sovcits try to avoid doctors, hospitals, and even midwives to prevent anyone from registering the baby in official documentation. Which means they give birth at home without any kind of medical assistence. Which in turn usually means a high (double-digit percentage, actually) risk for the baby or mother to die, but that is a risk they are willing to take.
The reasons given for not wanting the baby to be registered are not really clear - something about a fortune the government would own to the people, but somehow having a birth certificate would allow to state to withhold the money or something like that.
The whole issue is not about the piece of paper titled “Certificate of Birth”, it is about being registered as “Citizen” with the name in ALL CAPS by a government entity. They consider themselves as “American Nationals” instead of “American Citizens”, because “Citizens” are people (“subjects”) who are “subjugated” to the government.
Does not make much sense to you? Don’t worry, it does not make sense at all.
The other core believe I seem to have figured out is that they think the government owns them money - loads of money! - when they are not “American Citizens” but “American Nationals”. That’s why you can regularly read about sovcits trying to pay off credit card debt, the fat new pickup, the mortgage, or child support with a mysterious “voucher” or silver coins.
It is amazing how much the US politics confuses fiction books written as warnings if dystopies with political manuals: 1984, Fahrenheit 451, The Handmaids Tale…
As if a law could prevent anything of that. They simply demand “Pigs Must Fly”, and don’t waste a thought on how utterly unrealistic this is.
Edit: okay it sounds like you just have to boil it longer because the water isn’t as hot. It still cooks, just takes more time.
Have you ever tried to cook pasta at lower temperatures, but longer? The results might still be nourishing, but that’s it. The mouth feel is totally off.
Probably just delivering some private messages from Putin to his agent Trump.
Well, yes, technically it is indeed boiling, but as it is not hot, I called it bubbling to emphasis that it is not hot.
Have you ever wondered why restaurants on or near mountain summits don’t offer pasta? That’s because while the cooking water up there is boiling, it is not hot enough to cook pasta.
The three letter agencies probably knew about this, too, but either didn’t tell Microsoft, or forbid them to fix it.
Hmm, if he soooo hard claims not to be a US citizen, and he has no valid immigration papers or visa, shouldn’t he be treated like an illegal?
You will get boiling bubbling cold water. The flavours in the tea bag want temperature, they don’t much care for the bubbles around them (apart from them stirring the water).
And the fifth is a stern Trumpist and QAnon fetishist, and enjoys breaking the country.
