I’m also doing this. Proton is amazing, for the most part. Ente Photos is also incredible for ditching Google Photos, although I’ll probably switch to Proton Photos when that comes out since Ente is pricey.

I just watched the video because from reading OP’s post I was also confused about this - it’s 100% okay to criticize Hamas, but IMO the post didn’t do a great job at explaining why it feels like it’s actually targeting Palestinians as a whole.
They repeat several times throughout the video lyrics about Palestinian freedom. I think that’s the biggest reason I agree it should be removed. If they’d kept it very specific to Hamas and only talked about all the horrific stuff they’re doing, then that’s one thing. But it seems like they’re very focused on just general “Palestinian freedom” stuff, or at least they included it, which means that’s what it’s actually about.
A pull request was made in April 2023 to implement Electron’s safeStorage API to address this problem, but there has been no follow-up from Signal
I hate hearing shit like this. What are they thinking?
As everyone else like who? Gmail doesn’t do client side E2E encryption at all.
Still, that seems like a combo of “comes with the territory of encrypted email” and “their software could use some major improvements”. I think closed platform is closed by design.
Proton Pass works offline. Proton isn’t a walled garden.
Ship what, segfaults / invalid memory access? Lol
C++
If they’re starting a browser from scratch, why would they not have chosen Rust? Seems very short sighted to not have learned from Firefox.
Disagree. Even if we could, from what I understand, large, solid pieces of plastic are better than extremely small, thin, fragile pieces since those are going to turn into microplastics and get everywhere. I’d rather have them in one big chunk.
Were those errors that the drive was full?
ProtonMail is pretty awesome and makes it very easy to switch.
A better solution might be to not travel to communist countries.
I own both a 13 and 16 inch. Absolutely love them, especially the 16 inch.
It is, but I’d barely consider it a launch of anything. It displays photos, but that’s it. I could already upload and view photos on Proton Drive before they “launched” this.
