It’s only free speech when we speak. When someone says something I don’t like, that’s not free speech.

It’s only ok to incite violence when we do it.

This hypocrisy isn’t a good look. Lemmy loves to point at Trump’s hypocrisy (see OP) but are blind to their own. It makes your position appear weaker because you don’t actually stand for anything (e.g. free speech as it exists in the US).

I’ve said it before but many here are more like conservatives than they realize. They also don’t really stand for anything. For example, they pretend to love small government and then bend right over with pre-lubed assholes when DeSantis legislates lab meat out of existence in their state instead of letting tHe FRee MArKeT decide.

I understand the sentiment but I’d be a fan of having an adult age across the board.

If you can be drafted, you should be able to drink, buy guns, rent cars, vote, etc. That should all be at the same age, whatever that age is.

We’ll also ignore the fact that that solar could have been used to offset actual needs instead of this BS.

The system exists as it is…. I don’t know any other way to say this. FPTP has a spoiler problem that you can’t wish away.

I’m not going to vote for a candidate that’s going to get maybe 2-5% of the vote.

You’ve already got one response to this which is correct. I want to add to it to help explain how FPTP voting systems result in a 2 party system and simply voting for another party does not solve the issue.

But first you’re either aware of the problem and want to encourage people to vote third party while pretending not to know how the system works or you’re actually just ignorant to the issue.
